Using KiwiSaver helps many clients increase their home deposit

Do you need a little more savings to buy your first home? A KiwiSaver First Home Savings Withdrawal can help you buy your own first or new home and add to your deposit. If you have been contributing to KiwiSaver for 3 years you may be eligible to withdraw some of your KiwiSaver savings.

Key points to be eligible for a KiwiSaver First Home savings withdrawal include:

  • Being a KiwiSaver member for 3 or more years or a member of a complying fund
  • You are buying your first home, to live in, and not as an investment property

It is important though to be aware that if you are considering withdrawing funds from your KiwiSaver account this may impact your long-term savings plan. This must be discussed with your investment adviser as KiwiSaver is an investment product, and the financial advisers and the team at First Rate Mortgages Ltd are not able to provide advice on investments.

If you are a first home buyer and need to increase your deposit and think you may be eligible for a KiwiSaver withdrawal, then contact one of our experienced and friendly team today. We aim to take the stress out of buying your first home and point you in the right direction for KiwiSaver advice.

What clients say about Natalie

  • “We were too lucky to work with Natalie and Kim from First Rate Mortgages to secure our home. We put them under a bit of time pressure, signing a S&P agreement before even engaging with them, however they turned things around super quick and obtained the approval we needed to go unconditional. Thank you both for making what can be quite a stressful time, a really straight forward and easy process! 🙂 Would 100% recommend!”

  • “We have engaged Natalie and First Rate Mortgages on many occasions and we find Natalie to have the utmost professionalism and always friendly, respectful and helpful to find us the right solution. She also liaised throughout the build with the lender on our behalf. Would highly recommend Natalie and any of the team at First Rate Mortgages.”
